FLOS was founded in 1962 in Merano, Italy, with the aim to develop a line of new lighting concepts.

FLOS has always worked with well-known and established designers starting with the Castiglioni brothers and Tobia Scarpa, who were followed by Philippe Starck, Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, to name a few. FLOS products are also included in many permanent collections of design and art museums around the world. The tradition ofcollaborating with highly-talented professionals also extends to Flos promotional activities.
